The Blue Economy Initiative aims to promote innovation and sustainable economic growth in coastal regions and oceans while preserving marine ecosystems in the CARICOM region. It encourages collaboration among governments, private sectors, and communities to develop policies and practices in fisheries, aquaculture, tourism, shipping, renewable energy, and biotechnology.
The team facilitated three online workshops, from getting stakeholder buy-in through ideation, testing and prototype. The workshops were the warmup for the Barbados Forum to iterate on the process while solidifying a network of leaders passionate about the Blue Economy.
