Chipax: Scaling Psychological Safety and Feedback

Overview

Chipax, a fast-growing company, sought to foster innovation and ownership within their team by enhancing Psychological Safety and implementing effective feedback practices. We partnered with Chipax to design a 2-month program focused on improving communication and teamwork. Delivered in both English and Spanish, the program combined live events, coaching, and self-assessments with the founders and managers to create a supportive environment where team members could thrive.

Challenge

To innovate and take ownership, teams need high Psychological Safety and open communication structures. Chipax faced the challenge of promoting these elements across a diverse 20-person team. The goal was to implement best practices for feedback while ensuring alignment with the team’s unique cultural needs.

Approach

We developed a tailored 2-month program with the following components:

• Live Events: Interactive sessions facilitated in both English and Spanish to meet team preferences and ensure inclusivity.

• Individual Coaching: One-on-one coaching sessions to address personal challenges and build confidence in feedback practices.

• Self-Assessments: Tools to help team members reflect on their Psychological Safety and communication styles.

• Final Retrospective: A culminating event to evaluate progress, share learnings, and align on future improvements.

The program was designed to create a safe and open environment for team members to practice giving and receiving feedback, enhancing collaboration and trust.

Outcome

Chipax reported significant improvements in communication and teamwork, with team members experiencing greater Psychological Safety and alignment. The program empowered the team to adopt better feedback practices and foster a culture of openness and collaboration. The results were publicly celebrated by Chipax in a LinkedIn post, showcasing the transformative impact of the initiative.
